- there is no "Guernon castle" in Calvados, but "Guernon-Ranville castle" (Château de Guernon-Ranville)
- This castle has been built in XVIIth century
- The "Guernon-Ranville" parish has been named this way, when "Guernon" familly bought it… in 1751.
