I have the copy of a deed from Thomas Land to Thomas Addison, Anson Co., NC (now in SC) dated 25 Sept 1758. This Thomas Addison is thought to be Capt. Thomas Addison." From: Rex Addison <raddison@@digitalexp.com>

There was a Captain Thomas Addison who bought land in Anson County, N. C. in 1758 and received a memorial grant in Craven County, St. Mark's Parish (later became Camden District and then Fairfield County), S. C., in 1766. By Rex Addison <raddison@@digitalexp.com>

From: "Linda Moore" <blm4121@@compaq.net> To: "Debbie Jenkins" <daj@@hemc.net> Hi Debbie, In a book titled "Colonial Soldiers of the South" I found this: looks like a roll call or something. Addison, Tho.s (Capt.) 190-239-251 HMS Windsor Col. Gooch's Regiment D - 3 Oct. 1741, Scarborough D - 31 May 1741, Jersey

Capt. Thomas Addison: a gentleman residing upon his estate in Maryland, raised his company at his own expense, was wounded upon the attack of Fort Lazare. Major General Wentworth gave him a good character rating. Now I understand why they refer to him as Capt. Thomas Addison. Also this: "Fairfield County S.C. Minutes of the County Court 1785-1799" p. 30 Estes Thomas Addison & Christr Addison appeared in to open court and being duly sworn say that they M. Hill saw Zachary Estes and Martha his wife sign seal and deliver titles to Moses Hill for one hundred acres of land situate on the waters of Little River of Broad River. I don't know exactly know what this proves except that Chris. was still in S.C. between 1785 and 1799.
