NOTES FOR BEGINNERS:
  • Single or empty records are not allowed here. Please delete such a record by pressing the delete tab or mark it for deletion using the template: {{delete|reason}}
  • Clan field - it's the surname in singular if it doesn't change by gender (English or Western European languages, for instance). If the name is in a language, such as Russian or Ukranian, where it depends on sex, put it in the plural (for ex., Petrov/Petrova - Petrovs)
  • Place field must have each administrative unit separated by commas (for ex., London, England, UK)
  • Upload photos via special pages. They could be used in different places
  • If you record was changed check whether it was correction or vandalism. If vandalism - immediately tell us about it.

Hello!

When adding a link to a WikiPedia page about a person, it is enough to add a wk: prefix followed by the name of the specific article there. With the case of Herbert Henry Asquith and his page on WikiPedia, the format is wk:H. H. Asquith.

Hope this helps. Cheers --Stanley 12:21, 14 February 2007 (EET)

[edit] Adding people

Hi there. I think there is no point of adding single persons to the database without creating at least small trees. If you add at least parents, then there will be a small tree showing two generations and other users will be able to continue your work. Cheers. :) --Stanley 23:24, 7 March 2007 (EET)

[edit] USSR
