LITTLE FALLS DAILY TRANSCRIPT------------AUGUST 8, 1904
DIED---Mrs. Mary Kay, age 60 years, wife of Wm. Kay, died Sunday August 7th, at the home of her son, George W. Kay, about 2 miles south of the city. Mrs. Kay died of heart disease and her sudden death came as a sad surprise to her many friends in and about the city. She had not been ill and at the time of her death was visiting at her son's home.
Mrs. Kay moved to this county with her husband about 30 years ago and they lived here continueusly since that time, residing on a farm in Swan River town. She leaves 8 children. They are; George W. Kay, residing in Little Falls town, Mrs. J.H. Lambert, of Royalton, Mrs. J.H. Kay of Swan River, Mrs. O.F. Barnes of Superior, Wis., Mrs. E.B. Kemp of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. George Fordon of this city, Miss Maud of Grand Rapids, and Schuyler Kay of this city.
Mrs. Kemp who lives near Seattle, Washington. Is now visiting here and the other children who live outside the city arrived Monday. Mrs. Kay made a large circle of friends during her long residence here and her untimely death will be sincerely regreted. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning 10:00 am from the home of her son, George W. Kay , who lives on the Tanner farm south of the city.
