Willia m Grills, with one white male over sixteen, one horse/colt/mare an d a tax of sixteen cents. In 1816, S. William Grills is shown as payi ng a tax of eighteen cents. In 1818, William Grill shows one white ma n over sixteen, three horses, and a tax of fifty-four cents. In 1819 , William Grill shows a tax of thirty-six cents. In 1820 William Gril l has a tax of the same amount. It is possible that there were additi onal listings, but some of these years' tax records were too faded t o read. William Crill is shown in the 1840 Ohio census in Clark County, Ohio . He is shown in Koscuisko County Indiana in the 1850 census, 61, born i n Virginia, with Catherine, age 59, farmer born in Virginia, and James , 19, and Martha, 16, both born in Ohio.
