[edit] Sources?
What sources?
What sources? I am working
- It could be a very good idea to cite your sources…
- In fact it's necessary, because we write in a collaborative site.
- But I'm not sure to really understand your question… --Christophe Tesson - talk. 12:19, 27 August 2017 (EEST)
I get email with link about sources, to add what, where? In other way it will be deleted. http://en.rodovid.org/wk/Family: Vytautas Ugianskas + Kazimiera Bogumila Stulginskytė I really don't understand what I need to do and where
- Don't worry, we won't erase anything except if you write obvious fakes.
- But, I guess if you write something in Rodovid, it's because you red it somewhere else. So then it's a good idea to write were you red this in "Source:" field : parish records, town records, biography, your grand-mother's memories, etc.
- So then your work becomes interesting for other users.
- See this exemple : fr:Personne:557643. 3 sources : baptism, marriage, death…

My sources is my gathered data from archives. As well I am creating websites. Is it ok to link with my own website pages, for instance www.vambutai.eu or w.vambutai.eu? I know that Wikipedia don't allow to copy some pages even they are created by me. Sorry, where that sources should be written?
I did some small page where my parents has married and from it to Wikipedia. Is it OK? --User:Audronaša 19:59, 27 August 2017 (EEST)
[edit] About sources
- If you link to your other sites, it means you are your own source. It's self-referential. not really usefull
- the best place to write sources is… the "source:" field (tab : "picture and sources", when you're editing a record).
[edit] About "Place:" pages
You should get inspired from any "Place:" page in Rodovid.EN, for instance :
