WILL of EDMUND JONES Wayne County, Indiana Made: 5 February 1867 Proved: 15 February 1874 Will Book 6, pg. 62 I, Edmund Jones do hereby make and publish this my last will and testament. And First. I will and bequeath to my wife Ruth Jones should she out live me One Third of my home farm on which we nowreside for and during her natural life. Second. I will and bequeath to my wife Ruth Jones Three Hundred Dollars in money and which is hereby given to her absolutely. Third. I will and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Jones and tomy son Greenville Jones my home farm on which we now reside it being the NorthEast Quarter of Section Eighteen Township Fifteen Range Fourteen in fee simpleone half of the acres to each, the south half to Elizabeth and the North half to Greenville Jones; and subject to and expressly on the conditions that they pay the bequest that I hereafter direct that they shall pay, and to the persons designated in this my will. 1st. I will and bequeath to my grand daughter Ruth Ellen May and the daughter of my deceased son Morris Jones Fifty Dollars and to be paid to the said Ruth Ellen May by the said Elizabeth Jones and Greenville and in Eight years after my death.

  • 3rd. I will and bequeath to my daughter Catherine Rockhill One Hundred and Twenty Five Dollars and to be paid to her by my daughter Elizabeth Jones and my son Greenville Jones and in Eight years after my death.
  • 2nd. I will and bequeath to my daughter America Mustard Fifty Dollars and to be paid to her by my daughter Elizabeth Jones and my son Greenville Jones and in Eight years after my death.

4th. I will and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Lamb One Hundred and Twenty Five Dollars and to be paid to the said Sarah Lamb and by the said Elizabeth Jones and Greenville Jones and inEight years after my death. 5th. I will and bequeath to my son Warren M. Jones One Hundred Dollars to be paid to the said Warren M. Jones and by the said Elizabeth Jones and the said Greenville Jones and in Eight years after my death. 6th. I will and bequeath to my son Ithama W. Jones Two Hundred Dollars to be paid to the said Ithama by my said daughter Elizabeth Jones and my son Greenville and in Eight years after the death of this testator. 7th. I give and bequeath to my son Greenville Jones the sum of Two Hundred Dollars to be paid tothe said Greenville Jones by my daughter Elizabeth Jones and by my son Greenville Jones in equal portions and in Eight years after my death. Now should my wife Ruth Jones survive me and elect to take a third of my Real Estate in fee simple under the provisions of the Laws of this State of Indiana, and refuse to take the bequest made to her in this my last will and testament and in lieu of what the law allows her. Then and in that case I will devise and bequeath the remaining two thirds of my Real Estate in equal portion in fee simple and unconditionally to my said daughter Elizabeth Jones and to my said son Greenville Jones and free and discharged from all and any of the bequests and legacies whichI have made to my other children in this my last will and testament. And I hereby constitute and appoint my son Greenville Jones the executor of this my last will and testament. Dudley Clerk of the Wayne Circuit Court personally came Thomas Means and Thomas Wilson of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last will and testament of Edmund Jones late of Wayne County Indiana deceased, and being duly sworn on oath say that they were present at the execution of said last will; that the same was duly executed;that at the time of the execution thereof said testator was of full age to devise his property of sound mind and memory and not under any concern or restraint; that said testator requested then to sign said will as witnesses thereto which they accordingly did in the presence of said testator and in the presence ofeach other.
