The bibleRef needed ! names his mother as Milkah, a daughter of Aram Hittite sourcesRef needed ! indicate his mother was Milkah the wife of Sarumah.
From Wikipedia: In the Book of Exodus, Kohath is described as having four sons - Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel - with Amram marrying a woman named Jochebed, and becoming the biological father of Moses, Aaron, and Miriam[6]; despite some Greek and Latin manuscripts of the Septuagint version of the Torah stating that Jochebed was Kohath's cousin, the masoretic text states that she was Kohath's sister[8] - Amram's aunt - although Jochebed's relationship to Levi is not explicitly stated.
It is apparent that there may have been more than one Kohoth whose life stories have become confused. I am leaving this record as a son of the first Milkah and Sarumah because it represents the Kohanim priestly lineage and Milkah was the grandaughter of Melchesedek the High Priest. I will create a second record of Kohoth the Levite as the parent of Amram. It is possible that the second Kohoth was a descendant of the first.
