George Edward Johnson was reputed to be a noted English surgeon. Belle Short (Rosser) recalls that he was said to have been a Harley Street surgeon. Occupation shown as doctor of medicine on William Johnson's death certificate, but father shown on William's birth certificate as Robert Johnson, occupation joiner. Mother is shown on both as Mary Ann Kayworth.
