NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH PRINCESS GALAS OF A MUCH LATER GENERATION
Deianira drove a chariot and practiced the art of war
In mythology it is said that she withheld the "Cattle of Geryon" which corresponds with the account according to Livy that she withheld the annual Hesperidian (Gallic) tribute in cattle and slaves that was due to be delivered in Tyre. And used the shipment as blackmail to secure her marriage to Heracles.
Allegedly Albiorix, the son of Deianira and Hercules, son inherited the title Rex Gallia. However this would have been impossible as Deianira and Hercules lived some 800 years prior to Albiorix the Chersonese.
