Jairus, president of the synagogue in Capharnaum, whose daughter Jesus raised from death. Jairus is not venerated in the liturgy. Mk 5, 21-43 and Lk 8, 40-45 mention the name. In Mt 9, 18-26 no name is given, the man is called 'a ruler'. Among the list of Desposyni is show a Justis who is the son of Joseph and Salome. Salome was the first wife of Joseph, Mary the mother of Jesus was the second wife of Joseph.
