Il fut le fils de Gourgen Ier ou Kiourikê Ier, roi d'Albanie du Caucase ou royaume de Lorri ou Lôrê ou royaume de Tachir-Dzoraget.
989, à la mort de son père, la succession lui apporta le qualificatif de (Sans-Terre ou Anhołin).
1010 ou 1020, il fortifia la ville de Lôrê ainsi que douze places fortes de son royaume.
Il imposa sa suzeraineté à l'émirat de Tiflis.
Il épousa Zorakerstel, sœur de Kviriké III de Kakhétie.
1045, il se rendit indépendant du roi bagratide d'Ani, Gagik II.
1048, il mourut.
