Anna Sophia Christine Richter, was born in Weddingstedt on 28 March 1857.
Her parents show as Johann Richter (born circa 1815) and Anna Rod (born circa 1819) on the passenger list, however, in the Church record of her birth, her parents names show as Hinrich Bartholomanie Richter and Anna Maria Rhode.
The family migrated to Australia in 1865. There was a second Richter family on the same vessel but I have no way of knowing whether they were related. It is a very popular name in Germany.
