Notes
The first of them was Peter Grigoryevich Bogdanovich (1763-1834), a real state adviser to the Ober-Ster-Kriegs-Commissioner of the Black Sea Fleet. He took part in the Russo-Turkish wars, for which he received in the late 18th century from Catherine II the land of the village of Dereklei and its environs. He was married twice: the first time to Parasta Petrovna Zaitsevskaya (1769-1817 (?)), The second - to Euphrosyne Ivanovna Kuznetsova (nee Bogdanova) (1784-1862), from whom he had two daughters - Lyubov Petrovna (married to Karabchevskaya). ) and Sofia Petrovna, who later became the wife of Nikolai Andreevich Arkas.
The story of the marriage of these two people is very interesting. Here is how Mykola Platonovych Karabchevsky, Lyubov Petrovna's son, writes: “Later, from her stories, I learned how Aunt Sonya, unexpectedly for everyone, married Mykola Andriyovych Arkas. He persistently "cared" for her and made offers to her several times, but she refused him each time. But she immediately accepted the offer of another, also a sailor, Sh-va and the wedding was to take place immediately after his return from a voyage abroad. But, almost on the eve of his return from abroad, he sent the bride his refusal, motivating him by that his feelings changed, and in them nobody is free. At the same time, without calling from Sevastopol to Nikolaev, he hastily transferred to the Baltic fleet. Offended in her selfishness and in her feelings, the girl hurried to marry her constant suitor, who was and remained Nikolai Andreevich Arkas. To justify Sh-wa's act, which everyone, including her mother, considered to be quite a decent and extremely delicate person, she always explained that, as she later learned from Sh-wa's closest comrades, he acted only nobly. Abroad, he became seriously ill, had to undergo long-term treatment and did not consider it possible to become the husband of his beloved girl. It is interesting to note that Sh-in later occupied a very high position in the naval department and greatly contributed to the career of NA Arkas. But Aunt Sonya avoided meeting him and never talked about him. "
It is believed that Bogdanovka was considered an addition to Sofia Petrovna, but according to the memoirs of the same Karabchevsky, Mykola Andriyovych Arkas bought the village with the payment of the appropriate amount to all applicants for inheritance.
Who is right? It turned out that still Karabchevsky, as in archival sources managed to find correspondence NA Arkas with applicants for the inheritance, the main of which was the eldest son of Peter Grigoryevich Bogdanovich from his first marriage, Constantine. In this regard, there was even a lengthy trial, which ended in favor of Nikolai Andreevich in 1864.
However, in fact, since 1860, M.A Arkas became the owner of this estate and seriously engaged in the economy of Bogdanovka, which at that time brought a good income. The admiral discharged special breeds of cows and horses from abroad, established sheep breeding and pond fish breeding. The pond created in those distant times at the top of Dereklieva beam still exists!
