Notes

According to the Ancestry of Annis Spear: William begins to appear on officialdocuments in 1679/80, when he took the "Oath of Allegiance." Hewas York's constable in 1685 & 1686, and he sat on a Grand Jury in 1688. He was killed by Indians while loading a vessel in 1690. The Ancestry of Annis Spear, also theorizes that this William could possibly be agrandson of William and Catherine Wormwood, and that somehow his father died young and "escaped the records."
