Antigone was the daughter of Cassander (the brother, not the son, of Antipater) and the second wife of Lagus. She was also the mother of Berenice, who married first the Macedonian Philip son of Amyntas, and then her stepbrother Ptolemy I Soter (323–283 BC), king of Egypt.
