Sunyer was married by 917, and later appears with wife Richilda, speculated to have been a daughter of the Count of Rouergue based on the introduction of that families names into the lineage. They had four sons and a daughter: Ermengol, Miró, Borrell, Adelaide (also called Bonafilla), and Wifred.
