The Most High King Irakli I (Nazar 'Ali Khan II), by the will of our Lord, King of Kings of the Abkhazis, Kartvelians, Ranians, Kakhetians and the Armenians, Shirvanshah and Shahanshah and Master of all the East and West, King of Kartli and Kakheti. b. 1643, as Prince Nikolaoz, second son of H.H. The Most Brilliant Prince Davit, 5th Prince of Mukhrani, by his wife, H.H. The Most Brilliant Princess Eleni, daughter of Princ Levanti Diasamidze, educ. in Moscow. Ambassador to the Tsar of Russia 1651-1652. Returned to Kakheti at the invitation of the Kakhians and attempted to seize power, 1664. Defeated by King Archili and fled into Russian territory. Returned for a second time and proclaimed as King of Kakheti, 10th January 1675. Invited to Persia by the Shah and allowed to settle at Isfahan. Embraced Islam and received the title of Nazar 'Ali Khan, 1676. Raised to the throne of Kartli by the Shah of Persia, 1688. Deposed there 1691. Restored 1695. Deposed again and ordered to Isfahan 1703. Invested by the Shah as King of Kakheti and cdr. of the Imperial Corps of Pages, at Isfahan, May 1703. m. at Isfahan, 1677, H.M. The Most High Queen Ana (d. before August 1716, bur. St George's Church, Alaverdi), who became a nun in widowhood as Anaztazia, daughter of His Splendour The Pious Prince of High Rank Shirmazan Irubakidze, Prince of Sacholokao. He d. at Isfahan, 1710 (bur. St George's Church, Alaverdi)
3) H.H. The Most Brilliant Princess Eleni-Elizabed [Jan-Banum Begum] (d/o Queen Ana). Retired to Russia with her son in 1738, and became a nun in widowhood under the name of Nina. m. at Martkuph, 1715, as his second wife, H.M. The Most High King Jésé ['Ali Quli-Khan], King of Kartli, son of H.M. Levanti, King of Kartli. She d. at Moscow, 1745, as a nun, having had issue, one son - see Georgia (Kartli).
