Karl Borgh was a second lieutenant and served the Pohjanma (Bothnia) infantry regiment, Pyhäjoki company, as housing and provisions master.
Karl was released from military service in 1743 and procured for himself the Kiiskilä place (Alakiiskilä-lower Kiiskilä) at Jyhäjoki, Pohjan Village.
He was named the sheriff of Pyhäjoki in 1751.
The sheriff was one of the most important government officials.
The sheriff was like the farm or peasant peoples shop steward or trustee.
His job included taking care of his people (wards).
He took care of such things as housing, entertainment, and travel arrangements wile doing or performing the King's (Crown's) business or affairs.
After a while these jobs weighed heavily on him and therefore in 1759 Borg was ready to give up his position as sheriff and became the parish secretay full-time.
He had the complete backing of the parish for this position.
Karl Borgh (Borg) maintained a longtime meritorious service in the parish circle in a strong position.
With church officer Petter Mathesiu he had a trusted relationship and therefore he was involved in many important affairs of the church life circle (district).
One of these was the salvation (saving) of the Kärsämä congregation in 1764 in which the contribution of Borg was so notable that he is mentioned with the congregations clergy beside the chapels first church bell castings margin (marginal writing).
Karl Borg's parish secretaryship ended in 1786 when he moved to keep his retirement at Ylikannus (Kannus) as a chaplain with or by his son.
