Notes
Discoveries from the tomb of Nefertari tomb, including a cartouche of Pharaoh Ay, suggest she may have been related to this lineage of the 18th Dynasty, which included Nefertiti, Akhenaten and Ay. Her prominence is further supported by cuneiform tablets from the Hittite city of Hattusas (today Boghazkoy, Turkey), containing Nefertari's correspondence with the king Hattusilis and his wife Pudukhepa. It is possible that they were family according to the Bentresh Stela which states that the sister of a foreign queen is healed by a divine statue sent from Egypt (Referring to Maathorneferure the daugther of Hattusilus and Pudekhepa) who was also marrie dto ramesses II in the 34th year of his reign.
