Not to be confused with William Iron Arm de Hauteville (Hauteville, b. about 1005 d. 1046) or William Fierabrace (Toulouse et Gellone) (Guilhelmid, b. 755 d. 28 March 812)
It is not clear that this person is the same as William Fierabrace of Gellone who allied himself with Franks against the Muslims. Fireabrace would hardly have been welcome in Muslim Cordoba nor supported by the Umayyids against the Muslims.
