Please do not modify this record without special precautions. Studies of Migration patterns are showing the the Nordic clan Ulving may have been the Scandinavian branch of the continental Waelsing (Volsung) family who also gave rise to the Walloons of Northern France and the Waldenses of the Italian Piedmont. There are records of the Waelsings/Volsungs in the Roman histories and locates them firmly in the Saxe Minor area of the Piedmont. It is apparent through the sagas that this family had ties do the Jutland pennisula and Denmark. Their Danish descendants (Wealthulgeotsson and Weaga) feature prominently in the story of Beowulf.Almoustine 20:29, 9 June 2008 (EEST)
