Lineage:Rodostamo
The Rodostamo family (Greek: Ροδόσταμος) is an ancient noble family from the Greek island of Rhodes, whence they fled when it was invaded by the Turks in 1522. They re-settled on Corfu, and were entered into the ranks of nobility of that island from their earliest days there. On Corfu, the Rodostamo family has always occupied a very high social position, and has become allied through marriage with most of the other influential families of the island. They have been doctors, lawyers, politicians and senators, with one Rodostamo Antonio-Marco Rodostamo (b. 5 June 1813) even occupying the position of Grand-Marshal to King George I of the Hellenes (Christian Wilhelm Ferdinand Adolf Georg (George I of the Hellenes) (b. 24 December 1845 d. 18 March 1913)).
