Several affiliated lineages also feature prominently in Germanic and Scandinavian lineages including Slangeborre, Slangebauge, Ringslinger, Slingaband. This family is a descendant of the Goths who migrated southward as Roman Foederati, then returned to the homeland and settled in and around the Baltic sea with the primary seat of their power located in Garderike Russia, Hedeby Denmark, Scone Sweden, and Ringerike Norway. They were clearly seafaring people and not opposed to traveling vast distances using the European and Asian river systems. Almoustine 21:48, 15 June 2008 (EEST)
