[edit] "Project DFA inc" a highly controversial source

According to an english-speaking user :

  • DFA Certification is simply another source According to Project[1]

But What is DFA? :

  • Project DFA was incorporated in the State of Delaware as a Non Profit organization in 2010 as a response to industry need in resolving some of the genealogical mysteries posed by modern DNA studies.

So this user uses DFA inc. works as sources.

There is a problem. Project DFA inc. does not exists on the web.[2] No mention exept in pages written by this user.

So even if DFA inc exists, this user uses non-public sources. Does it make any sense[3][4]?

[edit] Controversial source

DFA project would be a genealogical project claimed by some Rodovid contributors. It states that it is possible and necessary to draft genealogical trees from antiquity to nowadays. (DFA: Descent from antiquity).

This project is very poorly documented. There is a Wikipedia page in English about DFA. This page say that DFA is controversial and had yielded no concrete results, even specifying that no descent since antiquity has been demonstrated.

[edit] Links with British Israelism?

On the other hand, without any proven demonstrable link, it is notable that almost all web pages talking about Descent from Antiquity, have a link to pages devoted to British-Israelism, which is a religious movement, whose members are currently grouped into several sects and groups with no central organization.

[edit] Questionable reliability

Consequently, the reliability of results produced by this project is seriously questioned. Besides the simple experimental impossibility of sourcing a tree before the end of the sixteenth century or to the middle ages (only with aristocratic families) we can only see the embarrassment that form the mass of data (documented only in appearance) that produced such a project.

  4. It is clear on the DFA wikipedia page; they try to find routes but they don't have proof !; How it is possible to take this information as a source ? more over they base them "study" on false information like Franks come from Troya ( french article about that ) !
