Alexander Adoyan (January 29, 1911, Tula province - April 14, 1983, Jõgeva) - Estonian agricultural scientist.

He was born in 1911. in the city of Epifan, Tula province. Graduated in 1929. to the Hugo Treffner Gymnasium. In 1929-1935 and 1937 he studied at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Tartu, and was a member of the Liivika student society.

Adoyan defended his doctorate in agriculture on pasture farming.

1935. Mainly worked at the Jõgeva plant breeding station. He was engaged in grass selection, developed the basics of creating cultivated pastures, and promoted the creation of cultivated pastures and lawns.

Alexander Adoyan has written several books, brochures and articles. His main work was the book “Grass Farming in Estonia” (1961).

Honored Agronomist of the ESSR 1956.
