Sloboda Visunsk (Baturino) was founded in 1767. It also bore the parallel name Baturino approx. 1790, due to the fact that residents of the city of Baturin, Novgorod-Seversky governorship, were relocated here in 1789. / However, this version has not been investigated /.

The settlement was called either Visunskaya, then Visun and Visunsk, as well as Baturino and Baturinets, this settlement was part of the Kherson district of the Kherson province.

Now the village is in the Bereznegovatsky district, Nikolaev region, Ukraine.

I) a sloboda since 1767.

II) Admiralty settlement since 1820.

III) a suburb since 1861.

Iv) posad since 1877.

V) a selo since 1921 (almost half of the inhabitants were evicted to other places and the posad was turned into a selo).
