Notes
from Linda Freeman
"During the Revolution Perley took his younger brother Peter up to Maine because he thought his brother was too young to serve in the war (Perley was a drummer boy and their father David served in the war, but he died of dysentary right before the Battle of Bunker Hill). After the war he went up to Maine and he and his brother married sisters. Peter married the older daughter Annie and Perley married the younger daughter Jenne (Jennie). Yes, they were the daughters of William and Elizabeth Hopkins (who froze to death and are buried together in Trenton, ME). Jenne was born in 1771 and died on 29 Oct 1816 after the birth of her 13th child (David, Daniel, Richard, Thomas, Lydia, Perley, William, Polly, Olive, Isaiah, Sterling, Jane, and Elizabeth--the one born 21 Oct 1816 just before her mother's death.) I guess that answers your question. I hale from Daniel's line and my aunt has their family Bible."
