Women Herman are subject to much debate. His marriage to a daughter of Namur is derived from the blood and name very plausible^{Ref needed !} relationship between his offspring and house names. Also, Ida of Boulogne (sister of Godfrey of Bouillon) is often mentioned as a wife^{Ref needed !}, but her whole existence is strongly questioned.
