Information from Karen Wenke 1/1/04 - which is from the web site of Graeme Moad - http://homepage.mac.com/graememoad/Family/Ships/leontine.htm. On 10th April 1848 the ship "Leontine" under Captain Laun departed Bremen, stopped at Rio De Janiero and Arrived SA on 1st August 1848.
